If you’ve ever wanted to live Fast & Furious, Universal Studios Hollywood is about to bring that fantasy roaring to life. Scheduled for 2026, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is shaping up to be a groundbreaking coaster, fast, immersive, and cinematic.
What We Now Know:
Length & Speed: A massive 4,100 ft of track, launching riders up to 72 mph, solidifying its place as Universal’s fastest coaster ever.
Thrill Elements: Packed with four inversions and high-speed rotation. The cars themselves spin 360 degrees, simulating authentic drifting through the course.
Ride Vehicles & Capacity: Teams of four cars, each seating 16 guests in a 2x2 configuration. Created to feel like “hot rod” versions of the iconic Dom Toretto Charger.
Technology & Build: Using LSM launch systems and sophisticated noise-dampening construction, the coaster delivers both raw power and immersive stealth.
Park Integration: Launches from a themed garage into an aerial track weaving over Universal’s Upper Lot and iconic escalators. A visual spectacle and thrill ride intertwined.

What’s Being Built (and How Fast!):
I visited the construction site earlier today and the progress is nothing short of incredible. With major sections of track already up, we could be heading toward an opening sooner than previously expected. Maybe even late 2025!

Between rotations, launches, inversions, and the unmistakable Fast & Furious flair, Hollywood Drift stands poised to deliver an adrenaline rush like no other. Whether you're a die-hard fan of the films or just pure coaster junkie, this ride is shaping up to be a thrill-seeker’s dream.
Stay tuned right here at Rodas Studios. We’ll keep sharing updates as Universal cranks up the pace on this high-octane coaster’s arrival!
